Question

Replacement battery for Samsung Note Edge (SM-915G)

Aug 20, 2017 10:51PM PDT

My note edge shuts down when the battery reaches 40%, it hardly reaches below 40%. I decided to look for a replacement battery.
My note edge is SM-915G Singapore variant.
Battery Model: EB-BN915BBE w/ NFC antenna, cell made in Korea, assembled in Vietnam.
The note edge batteries sold here are the EB-BN915BBC model and are made in Tianjin China. Can my note edge use the EB-BN915BC battery or not?

Thanks in advance.

Only the seller (or the maker) can tell. Did you ask them?

I've bought my phone online because the note edge at that time was unavailable in my country, I'm unable to contact my phone's seller.
I've chatted with Samsung Singapore, he told me he was unsure if I could use the battery here and gave me a link to Samsung China and told me to inquire the battery with Samsung China.
I'm currently searching at online stores for a spare battery all note edge batteries here are EB-BN915BBC and not the EB-BN915BBE that my note edge use.
The label for the EB-BN915BBC states it's compatible with N9150, N915K and N915L variants, mine is N915G.

If even Samsung tech service doesn't know, how could we know? I'm afraid it's up to you now to compare the specs of the EB-BN915BBC with the specs of the EB-BN915BBE (or the specs of the N9150, N915K, N915L with the specs of the N915G).
Or take the risk and try it.

Or play safe and buy the replacement battery online in the same country / same shop where you bought the phone. If they can send phones internationally, they surely can send batteries also.

I think the Samsung operators I've talked to are just lazy to answer my question. (chatted with Samsung Philippines and Samsung Singapore they're both unsure, Samsung China doesn't have online chat). I've tried ordering from Samsung Singapore, I've told him I'm not a resident and he passed me to Samsung China. Also tried ordering from Samsung Philippines, ordered last Aug 2016 and waited till Feb 2017 still no battery.

I've searched the online shop that I've bought my battery from they don't sell genuine note edge battery. So my only options are on e-bay and the local shops here.
Isn't it there a new law that prohibits the international shipments of li-ion batteries?

There are a lot of laws regarding import of many things.

Let's forget all that as it's a forever discussion and I only worked export control to places like Germany and Japan, not your country.

You can deride the maker here but you are out of their support system as you have what they call grey market items. The company didn't intend to sell them there so support won't have all the details.

Best bet? The seller and ask them to make it right or just try a new battery.
