Question

Replaceable Battery

Mar 30, 2014 3:26AM PDT

I am planning on getting a new phone and thinking of either the HTC One or the Samsung Galaxy S 4. The one difference that I am concerned about is that I will not be able to replace the battery on the HTC. What kind of battery life can I expect from the one in the HTC, and how much (approximately) would it cost to have the battery replaced by my service provider or would it have to be done by HTC? Thanks.

Answer
Life as in Life span.

Most are still 300 cycle batteries that has us using the ABC rule. (Always Be Charging) to keep the battery in top form and before anyone says otherwise, the old rules about NiCad and such mean that old advice is just that.

As to battery replacement, figure about 2 years before it's needed on average and as to if HTC does that, ask them.

Answer
HTC battery life and its costing
Apr 10, 2014 3:50PM PDT

The cost of
HTC Standard Battery for HTC EVO 4G is around $30
Genuine HTC BH39100 Velocity 4G Original Battery costs around $33.95
Genuine HTC BD29100 Wildfire S Original Battery - HTC cost is $31.95
Genuine HTC BD29100 HD7 Original Battery - HTC Battery cost is $ 31.95
Genuine HTC BD26100 Desire HD Original Battery - HTC cost is $ 31.95
So many option available for battery and you are asking about its battery life then I would like to say over the years, HTC has given us few phones with outstanding battery life. The phone could easily get through two full days of use with 6-8 hours of screen-on time. Also the new HTC one (MCool comes with smaller 2,600 mAh battery. It has 13% increase in capacity makes a much bigger impact.
I hope this information can help you.

Carry a portable external batter that plugs into the charger connection on the phone. In a pinch, it is a lifesaver.
