Is to order restore media from HP. But today I find some places install a pirate copy and then later the no CD question comes up. The CHEAP EXIT is to order the restore media.
If HP can't supply it then you go to newegg.com and order your copies of XP there as it's still for sale.
-> Worth noting is a few feel entitled to media they lost or never had. It's a rough discussion when that comes up but the two suggestions I offer above are the usual cheap exits.
I have two HP-Compaq PC's, where one crashed the C drive and the other runs extreme slow.
Both came with XP Pro pre-installed and no CD's. Both are at level SP3
Have been told that a clean reinstall of the XP Pro should be done every 6-12 month, as any windows will diminish performance over time.
I have both Product Keys. Both machines have a 500 GB E drive as secondary storage, and they have 80 GB and 250 GB C drives respectively.
1. How can I obtain a replacement XP Pro to make a clean re-installation. Microsoft wants $99 just to ask a question
2. Any special instructions to do so?
Thanks in advance
