repeater system experience?

Feb 9, 2005 11:16PM PST

anybody here have or used a repeater system? such as the niles repeater sytem? I am interested in getting one, but only if it works well. are there certain components that just don't work well with them? for example... a certain dvd player or receiver or something?

I have a forward projection system that is ceiling mounted about 19 feet back from the screen for a 10 foot image & to simplify & economize with the cables, all my AV components are behind the couch a few feet flush against the right wall about 18 feet back as well. Sometimes its difficult nail those suckers with the remotes. I'd also like to put an IR sensor upstairs by our living room TV so we can control the OTA HD tuner from up there as well (rather than buying 2 OTA HD tuners). This seems like a logical choice to me because we are never watching TV on the theater downstairs & tv on the crappy CRT upstairs at the same time.
