So those that demand such are often exploding with flames on anyone that dares tells them. But I see a fine video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRpsbIsVrU4

First off, PLEASE do not suggest something along the lines of "buying a new camera", as that is not an option. Also, if you can find a guide on repairing/disassembling this thing online, please link directly to it, I'm not looking for conjecture.
I have my aunt's Canon Powershot A2300HD with a perpetual "lens error" issue - the lens is stuck partially extended and will only move a small amount before "locking up". I've seen online suggestions of "pressing" on the lens where it appears warped to "snap" it back into place, but I fear that this is the opposite of productive in my case, because as far as I can tell the lens is actually warped backwards. The lens actually seems to try to rotate even further in the direction that it's warped when it tries to close itself upon powering on (it's currently twisted somewhat counterclockwise, but it still looks flush with the rest of the camera to me). From what I've been told, a small child actually tried to force the lens shut with the camera off, and it hasn't worked since.
