I am in eastern NC and happy to say, Samsung also fixed the issue I had with the white dots - FREE of charge. Thank you Samsung and thanks for all the posts that kept me informed - THANKS CNET. My problem started in Nov 09. This meant so much to me because I am a widow on a fixed income and just couldn't afford this expense. Love it when a company stands behind their product!!
Howdy folks, I'm here in west Tn and had a white dot problem. It statred in Jan and got progressively worse. I called bestbuy and they referred my to a local repair shop who told me my color wheel was bAD. i looked further and found alot of dot issues. I contacted samsung thru website phone number thet took my model and serial and told me that it was covered. They contacted the repair person who came to the house looked at my set and said yep whitedots... he called samsung who in turn sent part to his shop.. I carried my set to him at 8:30 it was fixed @10:00. CALL EM AND TELL EM TO FIX YOURS!! My set was made in 2006 and they fixed mine no charge at all GOOD LUCK DON'T GIVE UP
