Is there any way to renew the license on a downloaded audiobook that I have sync'ed to my Samsung YP-U2J via Windows Media Player 10, without losing the bookmark?
I am allowed 21 days on the license with one renewal. Near the end of the 21 days I renew the license via the audiobook site. However, in WMP, there is no indication that the license has been renewed. I think it only checks when the first 21 days is up; then it will communicate with the online site and verify that the license has been renewed, and update the license locally (in WMP). I have NOT figured out how to force WMP to recheck (and thus renew) the license before it expires. Even removing the audiobook from the WMP library and re-adding it does not work; it seems to keep track of the (old) license.
So this causes me problems for the copy I have sync'ed to the Samsung. Resyncing in advance of the first expiration does nothing; the Samsung still believes the license has expired at the end of the 21 days. Once the license has expired on the Samsung, I can resync the audiobook with the renewed license, but I have lost the bookmark.
Is there any way around this? Step by step instructions would be great. Thanks in advance!
