Rendering-Deisgn Computer. AMD Ryzen vs Intel

Apr 9, 2017 5:15AM PDT

Hello everyone,

I'm an architect with great interest in the rendering sector and I'm looking for a new & powerful set up. I have been out of the computer improvements for a long time, but I've read now that AMD has created really powerful processor (Ryzen) able to beat the high-end extreme editions of Intel fur a lower price. Would you recomment me to try this new Ryzen 1800X instead of an Intel setup? As far as I've read this cpu's have a huge calculation potential, perfect for rendering. And as for the GPU, is it worth geting an nVidia Quadro or is it better an nVidia 1080 for the same price? Thanks a lot.

Is the Nvidia 1080 will win. You can figure this out by checking the web for benchmarks. That is, you must do your homework. Here I'll give you a direction or nod.

Shop for a 1800x and get a price.
Now shop for an intel in the same price area.

With both models in hand hit google and read the reviews and the benchmarks.
