Renaming Windows 7 duel boot.

Feb 7, 2011 11:20PM PST

Guys I have partitioned my single HDD and installed Windows 7 Professional on both partitions, I have installed Microsoft Office Professional 2003 on drive D:\ and Microsoft Office Professional 2007 on drive E:\. When I reboot the computer I get two boot options Windows 7 or Windows 7 is there a way of renaming these options and making it easier to select the drive with Office 2007 etc.

Watsy?.

I'd research EasyBCD and see if that will do that.

try BellaVista -

Now, since you want to "duel boot" might I suggest you name them Opponent 1 and Opponent 2?

If you would rather DUAL BOOT you might try :
Win7 - Office 2003
Win7 - Office 2010

Wink

With EasyBCD renaming the description is also easy:

To rename an entry, simply select the one to be changed from the drop-down list, and enter the new name of your liking in the text box below it. Pressing "Save Settings" will commit your changes to the BCD store, and EasyBCD will automatically re-scan the bootloader and incorporate any changes just made to entry names.
