Question

Removing fonts - Windows 10

Sep 8, 2015 6:50PM PDT

I purchased software for a cutting machine which came with a bucketload of fonts. The plan was to use one font at a time as needed. Somehow I managed to not only unzip the file but install all of them as well. I deleted all the font files but I went into the control panel/fonts and they're still installed. There are more than 6K fonts installed. I was trying to randomly delete what I thought were the file fonts. I tried to delete one but it said it was a system font and that deleting it might cause issues. I considered selecting all and then delete hoping that I might get the same message for the system fonts so I could skip those but delete the rest. I don't want to take any chances of screwing up more. Input is greatly appreciated.

(NT) If this happened to me, I'd restore from a backup.

Answer
did you try sorting by date?

Maybe all the new ones have today's date?

No I didn't see where I could do that.

I looked around the page for something to distinguish the fonts I installed from the Microsoft fonts. If you can tell me how to find that, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you very much for the input.

I can't see your screen but here

I change the view in Windows Explorer to Detailed and click on the date column to sort by date. The files/fonts listed are usually all together that we added that day.
