Removing Driver's installation in Vista

May 19, 2007 3:32PM PDT

Hi..
The other day my friend was trying to install a HP Printer on my Window Vista Home Basic laptop.Half way through the installation there's a notification message saying that it is not compatible with the OS but there are also option allowing it to install anyway so my friend went ahead with it but it turn out unsuccessful. I later uninstall all the software and any folders that are related to the printer through add/remove software and also deleted manually from program files.

The problem now is that everytime i turn on my pc during startup, a window installer will pop up asking me to insert the printer's software disk to continue with installation of HP Photo Imaging 2.0 software. When I click cancel it start all over again and i had to cancel the 2nd time or sometimes 3rd time before i get to run window like normal.

Can anybody help me with this? It's getting really annoying seeing the pop up everytime i turn on my pc.
Thanx alot..

Uninstall ALL Such Software

HP software discs install all sorts of things.. Open the Control Panel-Programs (Or Programs and Features)-Add/Remove Programs, then uninstall Photo Imaging, etc.

Hope this helps.

can't remove programs..
May 19, 2007 4:17PM PDT

Hey..
oh yea..1 more thing that i forgot to mention. I can't seem to Uninstall,Change or Repair anything program in the Remove Program. When i click on any of the programs, there won't be any of the functions. The only thing that i can Uninstall is my PC Tools Firewall Plus 2.0. I didn't dare to uninstall or delete all the program that have the name HP in it cause i'm using a Compaq Presario V3000 series laptop so alot of the software are named under HP.
