removing a folder from my desktop

by sabina_2004 / November 8, 2004 10:04 AM PST

I have windows xp and recently created a folder within a folder. It is empty, but I cannot delete it. I have tried Hijack This, MoveOnboot, right click and drag it to the bin, nothing seems to work. A window comes up saying: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name.............
Please is there another way?
thank you

Try dragging the folder onto the desktop, and then deleting it

What happens if you highlight it and press both the Shift and Delete keys? This option is to remove the file/folder directly without going to the recycle bin first.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
