Question

Remove yahoo as homepage? how to?

Jul 27, 2016 5:14AM PDT

I want to rid myself of the nonsense and utter 'noise' created by https://yahoo.com.

Unfortunately, I must confront the news, and all other segment choices on this page when I access my Yahoo email accounts. I have 3 such accounts, and the 'noise' and distractions in triplicate. I simply wish to open an email account without having to wade through all this.

Close examination indicates, as far as I can determine, that this is NOT my homepage (?).

I have examined 'Tools'> internet options in Firefox, and Chrome, but if this url does not represent or link to my homepage, then it is likely not to work, correct?

If I can remove this Yahoo nonsense, can I simply have a landscape image, for example, as my homepage or wallpaper?

Thanks.

- What program do you use to access your Yahoo e-mail accounts
- When exactly does this disturbing page appear?
- You don't have a homepage. Only browsers have a home page, and you're not a browser. So it's unclear what you mean with "my homepage".
- Tools>Internet options isn't an url, but a menu choice. So what do you mean with "this url" and what is the value.
- A homepage in a browser is not the same as wallpaper. A wallpaper is the background in Windows Explorer. You can set your wallpaper to any image you like.
- A home page isn't an image, and you can't set the homepage of your browser to an image, only to a html-page or special things like "about:blank".

Can you explain your issue in such a way that a reader here can understand it?
