remove date printed on photos

Friend of mine uploaded photo on snapfish. She wants to remove the date stamp that is on the photo. Any ideas. I advised her to turn that off in the camera but these are photos that are from a trip to Italy and that date really messes them up.

Date on photo

I still wonder why people want a date printed on the photo.

Because....once it is done....it is permanent.

It is imbedded into the photo file.

The only way to remove it is with a program like PhotoShop, along with a lot of skill.

Date on photo

Joe, Most often it is in an obscure area of the image. In Photoshop, I usually clone an area next to it and paste that image over it. Another way is to just crop the image, since most of the time it is out of the intended focal image.
Joe, Don't you just hate a really nice photo with a date stamp on the image!?
How about telling everyone how to turn off the date stamp. Each camera would be different to do that?

Date Stamping

This started back in the days of film cameras.

It was popular for putting dates on tourist photos and snapshots of a growing family.

Some people use the date stamp for business purposes.
Real estate is one example.

But....to see a date stamp in the corner on a fine photography makes me cringe.

I agree

But the only time I find it useful is for insurance purposes

Date Stamping

Real Estate Companies do that all the time. Thank goodness it is the grass area or in the street shot. Too bad some of them do not even get out of their autos to take a shot. Lazy??
