Remove and add programs in Windows ME when windows starts

Feb 21, 2004 9:58PM PST

Hi guys!
Can you please help me with a bit of advice?
I am using Windows ME and would like to stop some programs from running automaticaly every time i start my PC/Windows.The only way i can do it at the moment is by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del and stop them one by one, which is working but time consuming.
Do you know another way?
Thank you very much.
Peet

I had the same problem until recently. I would have like 20 or so programs running in the back ground and it was really slowing up my computer. I must tell you, I know almost nothing about computers so I was really stumped and was actually considering buying a new one. Fortunatly, CNET came to my rescue when they recommneded installing WinPatrol. It's a great free download that finds all those hidden start up programs and lets you stop them from loading automatically when yopu start up without deleting them from your puter. It works great and I would recommend it highly.
You can find it here http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10129149.html

Hope this helps.
