Removal of pc-cillin 14 on xp

by ljmustang / September 17, 2009 12:58 PM PDT

My laptop came from Dell with pc-cillin installed, the program expired. Now I can't remove it with out the "password" that was assigned. How do I get rid of this problem program? It is blocking any contact with other virus protection sites via net. Can this be done in house or do I need to seek professional help?

Just to be sure, does that mean you cannot 'uninstall' it through the Add/Remove applet in the Control Panel?

Is PC Cillin still running? If so, close it down first, then try the Add/Remove option.

If that fails, try the options suggested at How to uninstall PC Cillin, or at Trend Micro uninstall guidance.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
