Some of my work is in cellular connected devices. MTM (machine to machine) so the only pushback I get is cost. Both the initial cost and the monthly cellular fees.
Here's the usual GSM Cellular power switch: https://www.amazon.com/Switchbox-Remote-Control-Via-Card/dp/B00IU1D1AC
The problem is what GSM SIM to get. I just tested an UNREAL SIM and that's not going to work. I can write that the Ting.com or Tmobile SIMs seem fine. So with Ting.com you might be looking at 10 bucks or so a month to run this box.
I have a home network and would like the ability to remotely shut it off. If I put a WIFI smart switch on the modem, I am effectively disabling the network I need to control that switch. Does someone offer a cellular product that is reliable? The network has 2 ethernet feeds to computers and a local WIFI hub, so I kind of need to nip it at the Modem to get everything. Anybody have any ideas?
