Remote shooting Control by PC

Hello, this is my first post in this forum. I have couple questions about digital camera. I have Sony DSC-T9 been using for year really good. Now I'm interested in macro close up shoot and just set up a lighting studio. I need software able to control my camera through Pc. I know that Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT have a utilities software like that. Or could any one recommend any digital camera with software sort like this. Thank you!

For some Canon Powershot Cameras

Their software works only on certain models of Canon Powershot cameras.

Be sure and read which cameras with work with the software.

They also have software that works with Canon DSLR cameras.
