Remote IR carrier frequency?

Feb 22, 2009 9:51AM PST

I'm contemplating the purchase of a simple IR repeater system, and it specifies that it is compatible with IR remotes utilizing carrier frequencies of 40 kHz and 56 kHz (+/- 10%). Can anyone tell me what carrier frequency Samsung remote controls use? Specifically, the remote for my HP-S4253 42" plasma TV?

Thanks,
Mark

No exact number.....

Mark,

I apologize, I'm not able to find the exact frequency for those remotes. But most of the repeater systems work on a standardized frequency level, as do our remotes, and I can't imagine that the television would be an exception. I can't imagine it being outside the range of the IR repeater whatsoever, but I just don't have an exact frequency number to prove that.
