remote desktop connection from windows 7 to windows vista

I cannot do remote desktop connection from my desktop with Windows 7 ultimate to my laptop with Windows Vista Home premium. I am using wireless network. Remote desktop connection is enabled on both the computers. But remote desktop connection from the laptop to the desktop can be done.

Are you sure you need Remote Desktop in a home network? Or do you mean to simply connect the two for file sharing?

Dear Mark, thank you for response. file sharing could be done between the two computers, but my desktop behaves in a bizarre way while attempting remote desktop connection. the latter gives some extra benefit than simple file sharing. could you please show some light?
