Remote Control on Laptops

by Chris_Fon / June 23, 2006 11:39 PM PDT

I have a TOSHIBA EQUIUM A60 with an FIR (Fast Inra-red) port on the front.

One day, while listening to some iTunes, i thought, how great would it be to use a remote control to control my listening remotely.

Does anyone know how to get a remote control with my laptop?

Cheers in advance to the genius who helps me!!

Dont forget about wireless keyboards! I have a logitech, not sure of model #, that has volume control, play, pause, stop, next, last, repeate, mute, and luanch buttons on it. So than you can laucn your music player, change the song, and type a document, all with the same device. Its your choice, as you may not wanna carry around a large keyboard, but if your a gamer, most logitech keyboard and mouse sets are VERY good. just my 2 cents

Gd idea but i think im still going for the remote control. I want something pocket sized as i do a lot of school presentations and stuff that this remote will be quite useful for and other than that it's only the music thing that im bothered about, so a keyboard seems unecessary.

Thanx anyway

Since I think geeks ships to UK and it's a low cost item why the need to return it?

Just sharing that I've bought too much from them and so far I've been pretty happy with the stuff. Keep in mind there is little tech support there but some bargains.
