Question

Remote access

What is the difference between Windows 7 home premium and Windows 7 Pro? I need the ability to remote into the company's server to work offsite and am not sure which one to purchase.

Why not ask the IT staff? They should know. Probably they already have Windows 7 at home, and can tell you exactly.

It might depend on how you connect.

Would absolutely love to ask the IT staff, but we are a small non-profit organization and don't have one! We upgraded our server to a SBS 2008 a little over a year ago and we connect through a https site - does that help?

Then any version can do that. That's not an OS issue or even a remote access issue. That's a browser site and as such should be fine regardless of which version of 7 you choose.
