I vividly recall the announcement on the radio. I was doing homework.

I vividly recall how this country came together, how men lined up at recruiting offices, and the Home Front.

Congress announced it would not engage in partisanship for the course of the war.

Yes, "A sleeping giant" was certainly awakened on that infamous day.
