Relsys EasyTrak Version 4.0 - Error Message

Oct 5, 2007 1:39AM PDT

I don't know which other forum to post to. The company I work for hasn't had an active support or maintenance contract with Relsys for a few years now and they obviously refuse to help me with this.

My EasyTrak users are receiving the error message: ?Someone else is currently saving a complaint. Please try again in a moment.?

I have already kicked all users out and had the server restarted. That hasn?t worked.

Any suggestions?

WIpe and restart?

Since you have declined to enter into a new agreement with the maker maybe a fresh start is needed. Sometimes I find these database things to be limited to so many entries and then it fails. What the makers do is issue updates or new software to extend the limits.

You voted to not get those so your out may be to start over.

RE: Wipe and restart?

We are currently working on a replacement system, but in the meantime, our users are unable to do anything and they use the old system on a daily basis.

Believe me, it wasn't my decision not to renew support, nor to limit our budget so that the company can't afford the necessary resources to have the new system up and running by now.

We have added more table space to the database, but still no luck.

Try an export to another instance of relisys.

Remember I do not use this system. But have helped others in similar binds. The backup and restore was done and they got it running after a wipe and restore.

Frankly it always seems you get to pay one way or another. Either to maintain the agreement or you hit a glitch like this and it goes down.

Relsys Easy Trak issue

I used to administrate the ARGUS product by Relsys. The previous advice was good. You may want to do an Oracle data dump of the database in question and Yes, create a new instance and import that data into it. Try it on a validation server or image. I've not tried that on Easy Trak / only ARGUS.

That being said if your maintenance contract has run out and are considering future alternatives I've been utilizing a few products called ARISg / InforMED / agXchange which are products offered by ArisGlobal. www.arisglobal.com - Check them out. They've got a suite of products that can probably meet your needs... Good Luck

Thanks to you both - we restored the database to the backup date previous to the problem and that resolved the issue. We're currently working on implementing a new project for the team utilizing TrackWise. Thanks for the suggestions, though!
