Question

RELIABLE SMARTPHONES

May 27, 2017 12:59AM PDT

Let's discuss and find the best bang for your buck. Frankly I'm sick and tired of hearing about new smartphone with crazy specs that either don't last 2+ years or have their hardware or software compromised in an effort to make you buy a newer model ! E.g my moms Sony z2 lasted all the way from its release . while my LGG3 lasted 4 months before bootlooping ! You don't have to stick to the usual apple / android theme ! Go all out and mention phones from diffrenet companies ! The important that they stick to the criteria :
1) acceptable ram (3+)GB
2) camera preformance/ Snapchat optimized
3) glass integrity (durable/ scratch resistance)
4) battery life (lasts a day without charging)
5)size (5+inches)

Please don't unleash fanboyism/brainwashed crap just straight up facts!

Here my phones have been lasting many years.

The only one that died was due to a water dunk.

As the office writes apps my desk is littered with phones. LG G4 (thanks to someone very nice), iPhone 5s, BLU models (cheaps for cheap) and others.

Some are ancient like a Pharos M619.

As to bang for buck, is that the cost spread over 2 years or something else? For example the Bluboo Picasso was under 99 bucks and is now in year 2 so cost per year is spot on.

All the models at the office are now unlocked.

Since we're in the US, that means no CDMA models.

Reliable phone for work
May 28, 2017 3:52AM PDT

I have a phone for 9 months with a small one, since I work as a manager and I have to talk a lot on the phone. On average, the battery lasts a full working day. Glass on the screen, in turn, was very gratifying, despite the fact that I do not always use the phone carefully, for example, I almost always throw the phone in one pocket with keys, a couple of times I dropped it, however, there are no critical scratches or cracks on it. In occasion of the camera ....... the camera as the camera picture is clear, video in full hd shoots, and what else want from the camera on the smartphone.

clean the crap off it

Too many apps you never or rarely use, all of them trying desperately to access some wifi to "update" themselves, and wifi burns up battery power. Or if you leave data on, about the same result. Remove everything you don't need or use on the phone and your battery time and life of the battery will extend quite a bit.

If those were the only choices.

Privat gets blown due to it's sourcing, no known service centers and more issues.

The others feel dated but I'd go Moto on this round.
