Question

Relative to IE 9?

Aug 5, 2011 5:41AM PDT

I hope this is the right place for my question. When first signing into an account; for example, email. there will be a message asking if I want the password to be saved. So then the next time I sign in I just type in password. How do I reverse this? There are some places where it really isn't a sensative issue, as far as security. That is personal and each person can filter through the different places for signing in. After I do a "problem sovling" procedure, I keep a notebook where I keep notes, just in case I forget. If done very often it becomes automatic. imgrateful_1 to find learn something new. Thanks!

In fact it's quite difficult

Assuming you mean you are using IE9, IE stores its passwords in the registry in encrypted form. So it is not easy to amend or delete that without specialist tools.

I would suggest you Google IE9 Password Manager and see what you get.

Thanks Mark. I forgot to mention when I put my email address in the top bar in automatically fills in the password. But the problem with that; I changed my password, so I have to delete the dots and manually fill it the password bar for going into femail. I will check out your suggestion. Yes I do have IE9 now. WIN 7 64-bit. (home prem)
imgrateful_1 always.
