Reinstalling Office 2003

Dec 10, 2005 5:56AM PST

I have Office 2003 Student and teacher edition on 2 PCs.I am going to re-format and reinstall XP on my older PC.My question is will Office 2003 just recognize that it as the same PC and reinstall ?
I really don't want to have to buy it again.

Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem...

When you install it and attempt to activate, it should recognize it as the same system. If it doesn't, you'll be given a 1800 number for Microsoft's activation hotline. Just call them, explain that you have a valid license (have the key ready) and that you simply reformatted the hard drive, and they'll guide you through the alternative activation procedure. Don't worry...you'll have it installed and running in plenty of time to have your grant proposal ready for tomorrow morning. Wink

Hope this helps,
John
