reinstallation / video card issues... Please help!

Jan 6, 2008 3:33AM PST

hello,
i recently had to reinstall my Windows Vista Home Premium. I am not the best with computers, so I am very stuck on this issue. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 M GS video card installed. When I went to put on a screensaver and use the photo option, it said "this computer's video card cannot play themes." I am very confused because before i had to reinstall windows, this option worked perfectly fine. If someone could help me, i would greatly appreciate it because I have looked for an answer everywhere!

Unconfuser.

As supplied by Microsoft, no version of Windows today supplies all the drivers you must add to get your machine working properly.

Add to this that no one just tells you this, many are in a dim corner of the world of Windows installs.

My fast, short list of drivers I collect when I install.
Jan 6, 2008 7:01AM PST

1. Motherboard driver package.
2. Audio.
3. Video.
4. Printer drivers.

This is the real short list. On XP, I'll install SP2 prior to connecting to the internet.
