reinstallation error

while trying to reinstall w7 on a old hp desktop have error : windows Installation encounted an unexpected error,verify that the installation sources are accessible, and restart the installation: OXE0000 100

- What's the installation source you use, and where is it when this message comes?
- When does the error appear?
- Why do you reinstall Windows 7

Let's say the target HDD is on a RAID. W7 can't deal with that. Or W7 is on USB which is a common thing folk try and then complain. Put the W7 on the media it came on (DVD.) And if on RAID the install instructions vary with the machine.

Finally tell why you are doing this.
