Reinstall xp

if i get a new hard drive and change nothing else, will i have any trouple re-activating xp?

You shouldn't have any problem, do a repair XP if needed. I moved my XP HD to a new machine and activated over the phone. Took five minutes.

If all you change is the hard drive you should not even get a re-activate warning.
Usually takes 3 pieces of hardware.

This is if you clone your existing drive.
If you do a clean install, you should be able to
reactivate through the internet.
