With the advent of XP, the registry grew faster than the cleaners I've seen been able to keep up with their knowledge about the registry.
Another fine mess is that Microsoft will put what appears to be an EXTRA registry entry to some .DLL that a registry cleaner will note as an error, but when you add some other software, that software assumes that registry entry will be there.
Many do "overcleaning" and others fix what's not broken.
Have a reason to use these tools.

This is a registry cleanup tool recommended by someone on these forums. I downloaded and it found 263 items in my registry. Since it has no help or other instructions, I am a bit afraid to remove all that it lists. Some have comments in "red" and others in "green" but the difference between them is not known. All the items listed are in addition to things left from the usual removal tools... TuneUp Utilities, EasyCleaner & RegCleaner.
If anyone has used the utility, I would like usage and recommendation comments... tips etc. This is Free software available at http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm.
Thanks,
Glenn
