what the symptoms are? What happens when IE is opened?
Are there any other problems, eg with Windows Explorer, or My Computer?
If you are unable to fix IE, then you could try the IEFix utility from here;

I wouldn't have thought this was a memory problem, unless there are other issues that you haven't mentioned.

I have been fixing a machine that keeps corrupting registry files only when running internet explorer. The machine has been freshly installed with Windows XP from a clean formated drive and completely virus free.
I am running test memory in the machine as there was a problem with the memory that was in the machien before. I am wondering if this could still be a ram issue??? Any hints?
