"REGISTRY_ERROR"

Feb 8, 2004 9:46PM PST

REGISTRY_ERROR - this error appeared yesterday. There has been no hardware/software installed on the computer.

When the computer is turned on ? right after the WINDOWS XP Home Edition
Screen, the blue screen appears with the REGISTRY_ERROR message.

Even following the various options provided ? it does not help. Starting the machine with
the RESTORE CD gets the same blue screen error.

Rebooting in SAFE mode, the system scrolls through the files and stops at the iomdisk.sys file.

How do I resolve this issue?

Thank you

This tool can be used to configure, query, change, or delete the boot entry settings in the NVRAM. Specifically, the /sos switch that is used to display the names of each device driver while loading.
