McAfee has a special setup with Dell for providing bundled internet security software, so I'm not sure if the registration process is the same as with the retail installation or not. Thus, I'd suggest clicking here to go to the McAfee support center. Select your product fron the left-hand-side drop-down menu, select any category of problem, then click NO when asked if your problem was solved. In the right pane you'll be given the list of free support options...click on Internet Chat, which is real-time and usually has a fairly short waiting period. There's also a Dell priority support option, but they have restricted hours (chat is 24x7) and are sometimes hard to understand due to outsourcing to India.

I am not sure this is where I should post this, but right now I am getting very upset with this McAfee. First to get any help from them is not easy I have looked everywhere and there is not anywhere that I can find. I did find a place to send a email but that was over a week ago and have not heard a thing.
So hope that someone here can help me. I bought a Dell laptop for my husband for Xmas. When it came it had installed the McAfee Security with a year on it. Well, I can not able to get the updates, and I have not registered the software as yet. I can not find where to register the product code from the back.
On our PC we have Norton so have not ever had to work with the McAfee.
Any help please?
