In the regedit..I by accidently changed something.

After the WindowsXP loading bar comes up at the bottom right corner it shows the Windows Version..and it gives me a pop up message saying

Hello ____

Have a Nice Day

I then have to click OK and windows will load normally.

I have 2 questions.
1. What do I have to do to get rid of the popup message and the windows version thingy?
2. Is there any way I can just completely restore the Registry Edit?

Imagine44, You could do a System Restore to the closest date prior to when you edited the registry. Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

I tried that. Sad
The closest date was AFTER the registry changes.

Nevermind! I fixed it. I did some Registry tweaking. I found a program that undid it. Thanks for you help anyways.

Perhaps, for our edification, you might explain what you did to fix your problem.

(Just in case one of us manages to create the same difficulty...)
