'RegCure' software

by Baxter2007 / September 23, 2007 5:53 AM PDT

Hiya Happy

Has anyone installed this software from the 'Sponsored Link' section of www.download.com? How was it at scanning errors-does the program fix errors too? Does it have any limitations? Is it similiar to a 'PC Doctor' program?

Is it compatible with Windows 2000? How large is the download?

Can someone upload it here please.

Thanks in Advance...

Solution Desperately Seeking a Problem

There is no need for registry cleaning software. They are all solutions desperately seeking a problem, and are a waste of time, effort, and even money at times. They exist because people will buy them, nothing more.

The only kind of registry cleaning software you might need is already included in anti-malware tools.

The registry is little more than a very simple quick and dirty database. It's not some mystical black box component that has all these mysterious effects on your computer. It's important to understand this, because ignorance leads to misunderstandings and even superstitions. In an age of reason, who would want to be thought of as ignorant and/or superstitious?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
