May 27, 2004 1:54PM PDT

Need a clarification on a setting please: if I have the following "options\registry cleanup\method\manual" and then under "tools\registry cleanup\automatic registry cleaner Will I beable to select the entries to delete,or with these settings will it do it automatically?I want to select them manually. Also is it relatively safe to "delete" the entries that it finds? OS W98

I have previously recomended this prg. by the Swedish gentleman it is free so search for it and download
When you run the latest edition Select the second Icon on the top row and just follow the instructions it is not necerssary to change anything. It will find and dispaly all you uneeded links
Delete all Don't worry it makes a backup, but in all the years I have used it I have never had to reinstall a backup
It is a fabolous prg.
Dont tell the powers that be that I told you this they do not think I am a kind of person they want.

It will just give you a list.
You will have to select which ones to remove.

On this w98 machine the answer is yes.

Thx. guys for all your advice.I have "jv16 power tools 1.3" I click on "registry tool" then tools\registry cleaner The "options" dialog box has "i want to manually verify deleted items" checked off.I take all the registry items identified with the "green icons" are safe to delete, but the ones with the "red icons" I should review carefully.if in fact I consider deleting any of them.
