First, open Internet Explorer, then click on "Tools" in the upper left, choose "Manage Add-ons". First, select "Toolbars and Extensions" and use the drop down menu to select "All Add-ons". Look through the list to see if Bing is listed there. If so, click on it to highlight it, then check below to see if "Remove" is an option. If so, remove it.
Next, click on "Search Providers" and do the same thing but MAKE SURE you have a different one listed there, such as Google. If Bing is there, highlight it and remove it. And next, do the same for "Accelerators".
MS Edge has something similar and it to should be checked. A method for doing so is in the link below:

Hope this helps.

Minor question. PC working fine.
From time to time I open windows update to see if I missed anything. Almost always it will go into a loop trying to, I guess, update Bing Bar. I don't have it installed, that is to say its not in control panel programs and features and it doesn't show up in revo uninstaller program. I use Firebox and my default search engine is set to Google. Windows 10
So why does it do this and is there any way to stop it.
Thanks in advance
