I am typing this to you on my refurbished Dell 8600. Make sure you get it with enough video card for what you need. But the 8600 refurbished is an excellent machine. I love it.
When dell refurbishes a machine like this, they replace nearly everything, the most notable of which is the case plastics, keyboard, screen bezel and cover, etc. Mine appeared to have a new screen, and having opened it up, everything looks perfectly new in there. ![]()
Dell has some good deals on their refurbished notebooks. Does anyone have any experience with buying them and is a better to get a new rather than refurbished?
I was thinking of getting an 8600 or a 9200. There are some cheaper prices on the 8600s, but the 9200s have a wider screen. I couldn't find the weights of them at the Dell outlet site, but I expect both are 7-8 lbs.
I would like to be able to play Sims 2 on the computer and it looks like both would be able to meet the system requirements.
If anyone has experience with either one of these computers, can you share those experiences? Overall happy? Any problems?
