Refresh rate Dell E773C Monitor in Fujitsu 655TX Windows 95

Jul 14, 2007 10:15AM PDT

I installed a new 1708FP on my Dell Dimension 2400 and connected the old CRT to to external VGA port on laptop. It works fine! Just wondering if the chipset for the tiny LCD is the reason for the fixed refresh rate of 56Mh. Can anything can be done to raise it to the 85 Mh when it was running with Xp Home?

I can live with the standard VGA driver.

Find and install the .inf-file for that monitor.

Probably it will work then.

Sometimes I don't get the Question right. Chips and Technologies, Inc.,which supplied the video driver for the adapter for the 655TX
Fujitsu in 1997 was taken over by Asliant, which continued to support the driver downloads and provided one in 2000 that allowed Windows 95 to select a refresh rate to 85 MHZ.
