Reformatting a SONY HandyCam HDR-CX100 so it works on a Mac?

Jun 3, 2010 11:56PM PDT

Hi,
I have a HandyCam HDR-CX100 and I want to edit it on Final Cut pro on a Mac. I have read about downloading software on the computer to use the clips; but I am wondering if you can make it so the hard drive in the HandyCam works with macs like you can do with a portable hard drive.

I was at best buy the other day buying a different camera and I was talking to the salesman about the HandyCam and he said you could do it but didn't know how.

thanx

which version of Final Cut?

"make it so the hard drive in the HandyCam works with macs like you can do with a portable hard drive" won't happen, but may not need to happen...

When you launch Final Cut with the camcorder connected, select "Log & Capture" (under the "File" command line item)...
