Redirected to Orbit Downloader After Uninstall

Dec 10, 2009 1:19AM PST

For some reason even though I have uninstalled Orbit Downloader and removed all the temp files etc with CCleaner the freakin message keeps coming up when I try to download saying that it is redirecting to Orbit. As Orbit is uninstalled I am no longer able to download things unless I reinstall it. I tried uninstalling with Revo too but didn't work. This is annoying the hell outa me as I hate Orbit. Any suggestions?

I don't know Orbit Downloader but I saw that it supports IE and Firefox, (may be other browsers too). If you are attempting to download files through a browser then perhaps there are some remnants left, eg a browser add-on?

Check your browser Tools for the Add-ons options.

goto folder options in control panel click view

check show hidden files and

search for orbit

delete the directory that has orbit in its name not too sure what it was called

search for nporbit.dll

delete this file

now uninstall google chrome and then reinstall it

this worked for me
