Question

Red X Instead of Pictures

Sep 10, 2015 3:28PM PDT

I know the subject has been covered numerous times but I have a slight variation. I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 and Outlook 2010. A retail store sends me regular emails with pictures of products but they usually show the red X instead of the picture. However, if I then select Forward the email all the pictures appear in the email window that appears ready for forwarding. Is there an explanation for this?

Thanks for response

I tried the suggestions in the link but they didn't work (I didn't try changing my profile). However, I was not too concerned about the Red X's which don't happen too often, I was more intrigued as to how the pictures appeared when I went to forward the email.

Yes I Know

the picture is there but my question (more for curiosity sake) is why the pictures appear when I go through the motions of forwarding the email

you dont get it, the picture is there

there is only so many different ways to tell you, the picture is there. there is a placeholder for the incoming emails and only for incoming emails. If you send it, the placeholder is no longer there. so If you forward it, it will forward.

Don't Appreciate Tone

I think I am intelligent enough to understand what you said and I don't appreciate the schoolmaster tone. If you provided the last sentence comment initially the case could have been closed.
