I have a Samsung LNT4065F that was purchased in April of 2008. For the most part, this tv has been trouble free. Recently, I have been getting red images on top of certain parts of the picture. These images are similar to the contrast being set too high. Other than these, the rest of the picture seems to be okay. These red images do not necessarily occur on parts of the picture that would normally be red in color. At first the images were severe and at times would immediately disappear. Now the images appear to be permanently set in. The images are worse when close up shots are made. I purchased a three year extended warranty from butterfly photo who has been bought out (but still operates under the same name) and the warranty company has gone belly up. A different warranty company is now being used and may or may not honor some, none, or all of the warranty. Is anyone experiencing this problem or do any Samsung techies out there have any suggestions on what the problem and or solution might be?
