Do a search...

Go to search and type desktop...click on show or hide common icons on the desktop. Check the box next to recycle bin and you will see it on the desktop.

Speaking of recycle bin

is it possible to change the bin to Windows 7 style recycle bin? I like the cylinder bin better. I know...it is corny, but I do.

Do you mean the icon for the bin?

I'm sure you can use any icon you wish for both empty and full indication.
