1 Be sure that there are no other USB or other drives plugged in during recovery. Even a printer is not a good idea.
2 Blank the HDD and try again (I read you are trying recovery so no files are at risk!)
3 Duplicate those recovery DVDs to fresh media and try the new copies.

I am trying to run a factory settings recovery on a 3000J Lenova desktop (XP) from a set of DVDs I made when I purchased the unit 4 years ago via the Lenova program that was included in their software package. There are four DVDs in the recovery set. This unit has one DVD drive "D" and when I ran the #1 disc all went well, then it asked for the next disc to be placed in Drive "G". I have tried everything I can think of to get it back to D, but it is one minded: drive G or shut up and then shut down. I have a system with no control over it now that the first disc did its job of erasing. HELP!!!!!
