Try HP

HP has media on the shelves which I suggest because if it fails that, your call to HP should go smoothly and may get you a free set of restore media.

Black media.

Is to be avoided. You can research why on the internet.

Try plain old silvery media by a name like Sony, TDK, Kodak, etc.

Light Scribe DVD will work but........
Sep 12, 2010 6:55AM PDT

LS DVD disks will work, but make the DVD's and forget the LightScribe burning, because:
1) You have to make each etching onto the LS DVD separately, closing the software after each burn.... Been there, seen the problem...
2) Each etching burn takes 20-25 minutes, and creates a VERY HOT platter.
3) Three monthes after I did this, I had to replace the DVD drive. Was it because of the etch burning times? The new DVD drive is also LS, but I do not use that mode, never again. I have burned over 300 DVD's on that new burner, and no problems.
