Recovering OUTLOOK Express

Hi Techies!
I was synchronizing my Outlook Express last night (downloading emails and newsletters). This morning, I could no longer open my OE. I tried to search for " *.dbx" files but I could not find any on my hard drive. Even my Outlook Express is not my ProgramList anymore.
Does anyone knows how to recover this type of disaster ?

Have you tried doing a system restore?
