At times, some miskeying causes the email that I am still writing, to completely vanish. It can NOT be found in Drafts, or Outbox. Is there a method of recovering it ?

Your memory. That's the only way.
I use Thunderbird and it has a setting where I can have it autosave from every minute to allowing more minutes between each save. Check your settings and see if your mail program offers the same. If it does and you accidentally close it, most of what you typed will be available in Draft or Unsent folder, can't remember which for sure.
I can't find an option that can be applied to a 'fresh' message; there are plenty of options for received messages.
