Recovering extrenal hard drive Help!?

by Rythm24 / January 14, 2009 7:46 PM PST

Wondering if anyone can help me, I have an external 2.5'' 80Gig hard drive, Ive been using it with Windows and had half filled it with music, bike films, movies ect. Then my bro tryed to use the left over space to back up somthing on his Mac, which didnt work cos its Windows formated. This is where the problem started, I pluged it back into my USB and my computer dosent now what it is, it dosent show in the My Computer folder where it normaly is and I dont know where else to look for it? I did try to reformat it but this dosent work because 'the device is not ready'? I really dont know what to do as I cant access the hard drive through the computer, I dont really mind loosing the info on it, although I'd rather keep if I can, I just want to be able to make it useable again. Any help would be great Thanks

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
